To Our Valued Patients: A Statement on COVID-19
At Eye Care West Optometry, our doctors uphold the integrity of patient care while providing our patients with the highest standards and ethics in the eye care field.
The California Optometric Association issued the following statement:
The California Optometric Association strongly recommends that optometrists practicing in California voluntarily suspend nonessential or nonurgent optometry care for the next 14 days.
Effective Monday, March 23rd, our office will be CLOSED for all nonessential care until Tuesday, March 31st as a necessary precaution to protect our patients as well as the public.
Limited services will be available day by day in limited hours:
-
Dispensing of current glasses and contact lens orders: 9 am – 1 pm by appointment only
-
Medical emergencies (i.e. pink eye, flashes/floaters, sudden loss of vision): 9 am – 1 pm by appointment only
-
Phone services: 9 am – 1 pm. Our after-hours emergency line will remain available at all times during the entire shut down.
Our staff will be contacting patients with appointments during the shutdown to reschedule. If you have an appointment on or after April 1, 2020, please keep your appointment until further notice.
The decision to shut down our office was not taken lightly as we are a medical provider and a small business. The well-being of our patients, staff, and families remain the top priority prompting us to close for the recommended 2 weeks.
We truly apologize for any inconvenience. We truly appreciate your understanding, trust and continued support.
Warmest Regards,
Eye Care West Optometry Team
